Gun rights officials: Find Holder in contempt; vote Obama out of office

On Thursday, a vote by members of the House of Representatives is expected to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress for his refusal to cooperate in the Operation Fast and Furious investigation.

When President Barack Obama nominated Eric Holder for the top law enforcement post in the nation in 2009, the National Rifle Association and other gun rights organizations were vocal about their suspicion that the new administration had a “gun-control agenda,” as do most liberal-left politicians in both political parties. Now these same organizations are calling on the U.S. Congress to hold Holder in contempt on Thursday.

But that’s not the only goal of most gun owners: they want Obama voted out of the White House in November.

In fact, some of Obama’s comments struck a chord with America’s gun owners and those who believe in the constitutional right to bear arms during his 2008 campaign. Recall Obama talking about some Americans as “small town people clinging to their religion and their guns,” while he hobnobbed with the Hollywood elite, notes Mike Baker, a political strategist who claims he vetted Obama, but his work received little attention from the news media.
