State rep wants Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto impeached over gun legislation; mayor responds

A Pennsylvania state representative said he was moving to have Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto impeached after the mayor signed new gun legislation in the city Tuesday.

“I just asked our attorney to have a resolution drafted to IMPEACH the Mayor of Pittsburgh for his illegal gun control ordinances!” said a tweet from Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, a Cranberry Township Republican who represents the 12th District.

Metcalfe’s tweet drew this response from the Democrat Peduto:

“Lost/Stolen Handgun Preemtion – Unconstitutional

“Same Sex Marriage Ban – Unconstitutional

“Voter Suppression Act – Unconstitutional

“Fracking Zoning Preemption – Unconstitutional

“Representative, do you really want to go 0-5?
